Cloud Engineer

You will be working alongside talented DevOps engineers solving major Cloud challenges. You will be taking ownership of two primary goals: to help us meet & exceed infrastructure performance goals, and to build and extend the platform in new ways.

You will work with Terraform, Kubernetes, Packer, Ansible, and a collection of AWS services. Job Responsibilities: Develops and maintains mission-critical information extraction, analysis, and management systems.Add value thru excellent delivery, enabling cost effectiveness (FinOps).Implements streaming analysis algorithms to generate question focused data sets (QFDs).Provides direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs.Participates in architecture and software development activities.Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions.Uses open source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project.Uses coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow.Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered. What You Will Be Doing

Collaborate with passionate technologists across multiple disciplines to establish and meet security, resiliency and performance requirements.Design and operate infrastructure that processes millions of transactions every day.Work to create and distribute best-practices for future-proof service development to the rest of the team.Continuously evaluate the team's workflow and contribute to its improvement and automation.Join our team in our on-call rotation to ensure the high performance of our payment platform.About You 3+ years of experience designing and operating distributed systems based on Linux2+ year experience with AWS1+ year experience with infrastructure-as-code, such as TerraformExperience with scripting - Python, bashExperience with CI / CD pipelines such as Jenkins1+ year experience with Docker1+ year experience with cluster orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Mesos, Nomad…)Experience in using DevOps Tooling landscape: containers, Git, automation, securityGood knowledge of network infrastructure design & public cloud architectureSelf-motivated, able to deliver consistent results through problem solvingAutonomous, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidanceExperience in architecting and implementing multi-cloud solutions.Proven experience in managing delivery including scope, risks, budgets and client relationships,Experience in delivering cloud and DevOps solution part of digital transformation.Strong business development skills, client relationship and presentation skills.Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available serviceExperience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologiesExperience in using DevOps Tooling landscape: containers, Git, automation, security

DevOps Engineer Qualifications/Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer serviceExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsProcess-oriented with great documentation skillsProfessional Certification from one or more major cloud providers - preferably AWS
