Business ManagerLocation - London/ Remote WorkingRate - £550 - £700/Day PAYE or UmbrellaStart date - ASAPContract - 6 MonthsOur financial services client is currently seeking an Business Manager to join their team in the London office/remote working for an initial 6-month contract.Key ActivitiesKey member of Enterprise COO and support the Senior Business ManagerBuild strong and effective relationships across a complex and senior stakeholder framework which includes the CIO, Enterprise Technology COO, Technology COO.Understand the role of Technology within the overall context of Global business strategy, with a particular focus on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of transparent and commercially focused analysis. Responsible for delivering a best-in-class Business Management service and to support the transparent articulation of the CIO & Business agenda with respect to: Technology Direct costs, Portfolio Reporting, People Strategy, Customer Charges & Allocations, Cost Recovery, implementing global standards; leveraging shared services where appropriate. Responsible for the transparent reporting of direct costs, customer charges, people strategyAssist in driving ET Transformation agendaSummary of Accountabilities:Providing Business Management support including but not limited to: people and resourcing, financial cost control and planning, governance, strategy, functional construct/structure and resolving ad-hoc issues as they ariseEnsuring transparent and timely reporting to the service lines to explain Technology investment, charges and direct costsAssisting the overall change programme within the function/ programme to deliver desired outcomes whilst promoting clear governance and controlsPartnering with planning leads/project managers in strategic planning and coordination of service line delivery activities, with oversight and tracking of spend, resources, risks and benefit realisation. Ensuring alignment to internal controls, including Internal Audit, Legal, Data Privacy, BTF and NFRsProviding timely status/performance updates to relevant stakeholders and management;Assisting the service lines with the Strategic Planning Cycle (SPC) process.Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications 5+ business management experience in the banking industryStrong customer focus with a drive to deliver standards of service to internal clients at least equivalent to external providers.Able to rapidly understand requirements and project needsAble to work with many simultaneous tasks in a pressurized, time-sensitive environment Able to drive significant change in a rapidly evolving organisation with little direction and without adversely impacting day-to-day deliveryAble to direct others without having authority or seniority over themAble to ensure accurate information maintenance at all levels despite rapid and frequent changesLeadership skills and a high level of credibility at senior management levelUnderstand how technology and process change adds value to the business and ultimately the end customerAbility to rapidly build and manage a strong network of relationships based on integrity and trust.Ability to influence and negotiate across all levels inside HSBC and with external third partiesExtensive large budget/financial and business planning experience with high degree of financial acumenMust be able to demonstrate stakeholder management, communication and presentation skillsRelevant experience in a business management role in Investment Banking Technology groupAble to work with autonomy and be a self-starterIf you are relevant or interested please don't delay, Apply for the role immediately.
