Test Projects Manager - Liverpool - up to £45kKey management role, responsible for a large team of games testers, deploying them to different games titles and studio teams. You will need strong leadership skills, keen attention to details and solid commercial acumen (sales, budgeting, resource forecasting) as well as project management experience. Client DetailsThe client are a well known entertainment brand and this role sits within a key department, testing the future releases of video games to their beloved customers. The company are based in a recently refurbished, collaborative working space in Liverpool and whilst they are happy to look at hybrid working options, due to the people management element of this role would strongly prefer a candidate who lives locally enough to be on-site a couple of days a week. DescriptionTest Projects Manager - Liverpool - up to £45kYour responsibilities will be working with the Test Services Management team to provide excellent testing services to PlayStation Studios. You will get to work with ground-breaking hardware and videogames within a large multicultural, multi region team; helping us drive and build the future of games & games testing.What you'll be doing:· Support the management team to ensure our Studio partners are provided excellent testing services· You will know your assigned Studios development team well, understanding their specific needs and help develop services to meet them· Work with the management team to develop positive and collaborative relationships with Studios teams and ensure effective communication takes place· Plan, implement, and report on title and department efficiencies built on titles developed by the teams you work with· Lead testing staff, coaching, mentoring, and developing them through 1 to 1 meetings and performance reviews· You will work alongside the management team & Production to develop and own resource plans to support the department and studios. You will assist the management team in budget related activities (for example the creation of budgets and communication)Please note: This is not a hands-on testing role. Some knowledge of or background in Testing/QA would be beneficial but not essential. ProfileThis is not your typical "Test Manager" role - you don't even need a background in hands-on testing/QA! What you do need is demonstrable experience with the following:- Project management skills, including end to end project delivery, stakeholder management, resource management and budgeting experience. - Extensive team management experience - including personal development, 1 on 1 meetings etc- A good solid understanding of software delivery processes OR quality assurance frameworks- Knowledge of the games industry, or interactive media industry would be strongly preferred - We are looking for someone with at least 1 years' experience in a team leadership role Job OfferTest Projects Manager - Liverpool - up to £45kThis is an opportunity to work for a well-known entertainment brand, managing a large team of games testers. The company are committed to DE&I and internal progression (this is the first time hiring externally in over 6 years!)Salary banding is roughly £37-42k depending on relevant experience, with the possibility to extend this for an exceptional candidate with relevant industry experience.
