This can be done in a variety of forms such as business intelligence insights for retail via video, providing a safer environment in an airport or helping teachers create better student outcomes by leveraging IoT devices in the classroom via cloud connectivity for insight and CPD.

DescriptionThe client is is excited to be adding a Tech Lead to its growing development team.As a key member of the Engineering team you will be fully hands-on but with the additional responsibility as a technical lead within the team developing high-performance solutions on their microservice-based Cloud platform with a strong focus on quality, security and scalability. You will also ensure that the cloud platform is fully integrated with the front-end services, embedded gateways, routers and cameras.The desired language moving forward will be Typescript/NodeJS and GoLang.To achieve this, you will work closely and collaboratively with the architecture team, developers, testers, product managers and software development managers.You will provide technical leadership to a highly skilled experienced development team within a culture of empowerment and collective responsibility for product success.Some tasks include:Work closely with Architects, Software Developers, Testers and DevOps engineers to develop high quality performant software in an Agile SCRUM based environment.As part of the technical design team across the company participate in technical design and specification sessions.Design of well-structuredcomprehensiveandcoherentAPI's Lead the technical integration between the cloud the front-end user facing elements and embedded gateways, routers, and cameras.Play a lead role in the definition and implementation of security and data protection within the products.Design and develop in a way to optimize the back-end software for maximum speed and scalability whilst minimising cloud platform costs.

ProfileTech Lead. Node/GoLang. Fully Remote Working. IOT ClientThe ideal candidate will:Strong AWS platform development experience using serverless (lambda) based architectures and microservices.Database technologies - including MySQL, NoSQL, Graph and Redis databases.Networking concepts and protocols: IP networking, socket programming, S/RTSP, HTTP, SOAP, ONVIF, UPnP, IPv6Working knowledge of Kubernetes and DockerEvent driven systems designAPI design and implementationAny language experience with Typescript/Node.js or Golang will be advantageousCandidates from JAVA or C# are also welcomed to apply. Strong knowledge of security concepts and technologies - including TLS, JWT, signed URL's, etc.Linux - deep knowledge: SSH, networking, system, filesystems, cron, etcGood understanding of AWS components and technologies including but not limited to AWS IoT core, Amazon API gateway, SNS, SQS, Step functions, ELK, Cloud Front, CloudWatch, EC2, S3, Route 53, Amazon VPC, Kinesis Video Streams and Elasticsearch would be desirable.
