You will be working within our Integration Development team which sits in our IT Department here at Head Office in Deeside, near Chester.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Principal Engineer of an integration squad, you will work on the latest Azure technologies following contemporary architectural patterns and practices directed towards delivering business value fast.

The squad develops and supports a micro-services estate, taking advantage of the cost and scaling benefits of serverless compute in Azure. Responsible for custom integrations within Iceland, our focus is on writing highly performant solutions often required to deal with large numbers of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute software development tasks as part of a SCRUM sprint

Perform peer reviews

Collaborate with Architects as part of the design process

Work with Business and Test Analysts to refine User Stories and their Acceptance Criteria

Perform Spikes as part of the development process

Investigate and assess new technology

Mentor other team members

Skills required:

Good understanding of SOLID principles

Working knowledge of Design Patterns

Strong C# (other OO acceptable)

Strong SQL (alternate experience of document dBs acceptable)
