Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply.

What we do matters: making a difference to people's lives now, and for generations to come. We offer a diverse range of flexible working career opportunities: roles that are stimulating and rewarding. And it's important to us that we recruit from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.

This role is part of Ofgem's Cyber Security Directorate and will work on projects that are integral to the security of the country's critical national infrastructure. You'll provide expert advice and recommendations for secure engineering in key infrastructure programmes. In the constantly evolving world of cyber security, you will help to ensure that we continually review and enhance our knowledge and practice, drawing on new technologies and methodologies as required. Working in partnership with Security, Intelligence and Law Enforcement Agencies, other Regulators and energy sector partners you'll assess potential threats affecting the energy market and develop effective mitigation strategies to counter these.

We expect that you will already have experience of working in OT Cyber Security and have a good knowledge of the oil, gas, and electricity industries. You'll offer an excellent understanding of system architectures and the ability to understand and articulate the impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs or systems and how these vulnerabilities might be exploited. You'll be professional certified in at least one of the following (or equivalent): CISSP, GICSP, GRID, SABSA, TOGAF and be able to achieve and maintain SC (Security Check) clearance.

Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of open and fair competition, merit and business need.
