We are investing in and transforming our stores to further improve the experience for our customers, while ensuring our employee experience and business performance are enhanced by industry leading and innovative technology.  This Project Manager vacancy plays a pivotal role in our technology transformation, by leading the delivery of medium to large IT development or maintenance projects with full responsibility for delivering against project, scope, budget, quality and timeline. 
It is an ideal opportunity for someone from the retail or hospitality sector, who has experience of and a passion for delivering the technology employed to create a unique customer experience while providing the best tools for our consultants instore .
  How will this be achieved? GOVERNANCE & PROCESS You will take full responsibility and ownership for the documentation and successful delivery of IT projects (typically with high-risk dependencies) in line with agreed roadmap and target architecture to scope, quality, on time and to budget.  Success will be achieved through monitoring and controlling resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and managing the expectations of all project stakeholders You manage the activities of the project teams, facilitating effective working relations and monitoring progress to agreed quality measures Monitoring progress against business objectives specified in the business case Selecting methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained Adhering to the established Agile, Project management Toolkit/Methodology for Reporting, Planning, Risk and Issue Management, Budgeting and Governance.  STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS Identifying where change is required, and planning for variations in consultation with stakeholders, ensuring that change management protocols are implemented Management of Internal and External and Stakeholders, and ensuring communication is clear for the duration of the project. COMMUNICATION Implementing effective stakeholder engagement and communication plans Ability to adapt your communication style depending on the audience  REPORTING By engaging others on the project, you will support with identifying business value and quality metrics by which benefits/performance can be measured  Sourcing and collecting contract performance data and monitoring performance against KPIs, taking appropriate steps to address non-compliance
  What we look for Essential experience: Managing projects in Retail or Hospitality sectors Achievement as a Project Manager demonstrated in more than 4 medium to large sized projects, Experience of delivering projects in the EMEA and UK markets Delivery and rollout of POS solutions - (retail directions or other) Experience of rollout of integrated payment solutions - ideally Adyen Experience of other store technologies such as Footfall, Printers, Mobile devices etc Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent. (Prince2) Agile delivery experience Management of suppliers to deliver agreed work Understanding of database analysis and migration between platforms
Essential skills Leadership capabilities that drive team engagement and produces high quality development deliverables Excellent communication skills that instils confidence with key stakeholders, with a strong commercial mind set and business acumen Proven ability to take ownership and assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organisation. Ability to communicate vision and ability to anticipate future business needs. Proactive and tenacious 'can do' attitude to unblock issues and ensure progress
