Head of Operations This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing profitable scale-up business who have some of the best global talent working for them and provide customers a unique offering. Location: Remote, mainly UK based, travel to the office as needed.Role OverviewThe Head of Operations will have broad autonomy to refine the company’s operating vision, embed best practice and drive delivery, KPIs and other growth objectives, as well as collaborating extensively with other experts in engineering and sales, to help manage sustainable growth and customer delight.Responsibilities:Managing the day-to-day operations of the business, including finance, HR, recruitment, IT, office management and key event related activities.Developing efficient ways of working, promoting strong teamwork, collaboration and customer centric delivery.Contributing to new and existing commercial models - as an example, you will collaborate directly with the Sales and Marketing teams to support project budgets, KPIs, forecasting plans, delivery schedules, and contingency plans.Developing and implementing sound operating policies to align to legal, regulatory, business and customer needs.Participate in operations reviews internally and with customers to ensure both short-term and long-term plans are on track and help manage priorities and track metrics across the organisation.Providing proactive input into contract negotiations and contract decision making; help ensure compliance and business processes are followed; maintaining strong HR, legal, information governance and operational processes.To be successful in this role: You will have strong appreciation of technology, ideally with some security &encryption knowledge, and experience in a B2B / Software / Hardware licensing business environment.Qualities:
Experience interfacing with other functional leaders and C-level execs.Commercial and growth mindset.If not directly owned, will have comfort overseeing the Finance function as well as Operations, HR and LegalBe able to lend credibility to the fundraising process.Ideally have experience with international expansion of companiesDeployed proven commercial frameworks and initiatives in collaboration with sales and engineering teams.Understands the complexity and challenges of navigating a business through an earlier phase of lifecycle with limited resourcesCan build a robust operations function, implementing a scalable approach to meeting customer needs.Strong communicator who can set a clear vision and strategy and can mobilise teams.Passionate, tenacious and ambitious, as well as high-integrity, high energy, rigorous, low-ego, collaborative and personable.
