As a trusted and preferred recruitment partner to this leading global provider of cloud-based solutions to the global financial sector, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a DevOps Engineering Manager to act as a major contributor in building a top-tier DevOps team that will partner with the wider organisation to help invent and transform information management.

Already benefitting from a dominance in the North American finance industry, our client is expanding its London operations to better serve the UK and EU markets. This is an exciting time to join, and you will have the opportunity to work both from home and within their state-of-the-art EMEA HQ in London.

Your Job

*Lead a team of DevOps Engineers

*Instantiate a culture of knowledge sharing and avoid knowledge hoarding

*Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members

*Provide feedback, address underperformance, and recognise strengths of team members

*Instil a spirit of continuous improvement in the team's code, architecture, and processes

*Work with product managers to ensure the delivery of accurate product build and work with project managers to ensure schedules and controls for development teams are met.

*Work with stakeholders to ensure production issues are resolved quickly

*Own your team's deliverables and product quality. Ensure the continuation of shipping scalable, highly available, and world class products to customers.

*Help your team build relationships across functions with Development, QA, Operations, Support and other teams to ensure continuing success.

*Be and hands-on DevOps Team Manager who will spend up to 50% of their time in design reviews, sprint planning and other Agile artifacts. Some active coding and environment administration is a requirement for this role.

*Appreciate and advocate for information security and secure coding practices.

Deployment Automation: Ansible, Puppet, Fabric). CI Systems: Jenkins, Bamboo. Scripting: Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash. Programming Languages: Core Java, C#, JavaScript

Your Skills

*Extensive DevOps experience including as a 2nd Line Manager, managing geographically dispersed teams of 10 of greater, including other Managers and Leads.

*Acting as a change agent and leaving every team and process better than you found it, with exposure to external audits.

*Experience with CI Systems, full-stack SaaS development environments, advanced web applications, APIs in service and resource-oriented architectures, and large complex databases and data quality and lifecycle issues.
