We are searching for an additional DevOps Engineer for our exciting technology driven and growing client.Our clients DevOps team plays a major role in the design and implementation of their software products, applications, websites and tools, both external and internal. Their modern development requires a broad range of skills along with a natural aptitude for rapid self-learning. They require their DevOps Engineers to have knowledge and experience spanning a wide range of tools and technologies as well as being well skilled in 1 or more specific fields.You will work with diverse teams to create and implement solutions for clients, and you will collaborate with Software Developers, Quality Assurance professionals, Product Owners and other project team members on a daily basis.

Main tasks to include:

Supporting all internally developed application transitions and release support for all development activities.Providing input on Technical Architecture and solutions in order to continuously improve all elements of the company infrastructure.Contributing to major systems projects providing input into Systems Development.Conducting development and implementation tasks for systems including project planning, analysis, designing, programming & developing, testing and debugging.Conducting analysis of the Systems requirements of the organisation producing requirement specifications as needed and undertaking evaluations of software options.Assist with the ongoing troubleshooting and development of systems.Supporting team members in day-to-day tasks & personal development.Encouraging and support team members in adoption of technical direction.Ensuring team feedback is acted upon & personal development plans are put in place.Supporting project management & Application Delivery Manager in task assignment.Undertaking investigations into technologies, practices & methodologies outside of the normal technical stack.Transferring and documenting technical support procedures and activities on an on-going and daily basis as activities are undertaken.

About you:You need to be able to multitask, demonstrate flexibility, be analytical and deal with many different situations at a time.This is a client facing role that needs a commercially astute person with excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.You require strong experience in a technical support and design role, with experience providing 3rd level support in a similar field.The role is Automation first!Proven experience in administration in AWS Cloud Services and/or Azure Cloud Services.Proven experience with at least one CI tool set and Web Application support/debugging & management experience.Good understanding of database technologies in cloud environments.Experience of running production workloads in at least two cloud providers.Experience on providing 3rd line systems and helpdesk style technical support to internal and/or external users.Ability to understand user requirements and translate into technical solutions.Scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar).Understanding and exposure to at least one high level programming language.Varied Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration skills.Networking skills, including, LAN / WAN and Internet. The post holder may be required to undertake on-call support duties. This will fall in line with the Teams' standard out of hours support practices.The post holder may additionally be required to undertake shifts which may include Saturdays and up to 8pm on weekdays where required (on a rota basis).
