We have an exciting opportunity for a Software QA Engineer to join our expanding team based in Basingstoke. The Software QA Engineer Opportunity: We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our Development team based in Basingstoke and to carry out quality assurance and testing of all new and existing software based products. Main duties will include: + Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
+ Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
+ Document and report software issues, using a bug tracking system to software developers, monitor bug resolution efforts and track outcomes.
+ Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance.
+ Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
+ Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
+ Visit beta testing sites as required to evaluate software performance. About You: Essential: + Degree in Computer Science or similar related subject
+ A keen interest in technology, is methodical with good attention to detail.
+ Ability to follow instructions and have experience of computer hardware
+ Understanding of Agile development processes
+ Ability to communicate clearly within a task oriented team Desirable: + Experience of working with technical or development project software i.e. Gitlab, Jira, Redmine. Experience of Server 2016/19 or Linux
