Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer London to £90k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer *Remote Interview WfH*. Do you have expertise with multi-threaded core Java development? You could be working on complex and interesting real-time, low latency trading systems that provide daily challenges and collaborating with a friendly and upbeat team a FinTech that has been consistently voted as one of the UKs top employers.

As a Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop Greenfield server-side code for high throughput low latency trading systems, taking ownership of technical projects across the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to successful operation in production. You'll be collaborating in an Agile development environment and liaising with front office trading staff. You don't need previous experience with trading systems so it's a great opportunity to learn and pick up valuable experience.

There's currently a remote interview / onboarding process as well as work from home during the current social distancing measures with a great deal of flexibility going forwards; when you are in the office you'll be based in the City with an upbeat team environment, casual dress code and a range of facilities including roof terrace and break out areas.

Requirements:

You have strong core Java development experience including multi-threading / concurrent programming

You have experience with large, complex, distributed software systems requiring high throughput

You have design and architecture skills

Any experience with Kafka, Docker or similar technologies

You're collaborative and pragmatic with strong communication skills

No finance / trading systems experience required - technical skills of greater importance, you can pick up domain knowledge on the job
