Commissioning and Support Engineer - Automation Products

Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire

Salary package up to £60K

Contract: Full time, permanent

About us:

RoBAT Ltd has a small multi-disciplined team of 40 people designing and manufacturing, high value robotic machines for testing large printed circuit boards (PCB's) in our Macclesfield, Cheshire headquarters. Most of our sales are in China and the USA where we have our own small factories and staff employed to provide local support for the machines. We have established ourselves as the market leader in our niche market.

Our products are used by some of the largest companies in the world (e.g. Cisco Systems, Ericsson, Oracle, Huawei, Foxconn).

About the role:

This is a role for an experienced electronics engineer who is ‘hands on'.  This role offers the opportunity to have a varied workload along with the opportunity for speedy job progression.

Requirements for this role:.

Ability to follow complex wiring & circuit diagrams.

Experience of fault finding & repair of complex electronic systems / PCBs.

Experience of fault finding & repair of high value automation machinery.

Previous exposure to robotics, automation equipment & motion systems would be desirable.

Eligibility to work in the UK

Occasional world-wide travel may be necessary (short duration), due to the majority of our customers being based overseas.
