A 2nd / 3rd Line IT Support Analyst with good commercial experience and able to support a variety of Microsoft Technologies to customers is required to join the growing technical team at this IT support company based in Bathgate.

The role, based in Bathgate, will be to provide 2nd / 3rd line support both on the phone and face to face they will also be asked to participate / take lead in projects. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential. They deal with small to medium sized businesses in a multitude of different business sectors.

Required Skills

- MS Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019

- Active Directory

- Hyper-V

- SQL Server

- Office 365 management and migration

- SharePoint

- MS Terminal Server

- File Server - NTFS permissions

- Desktop O/S' Windows 8.1 / 10

- MS Office 2016 and above

- Firewall and Router knowledge

- An understanding of network topologies

- Participate or lead on new projects (server deployments / Migrations)

- Draytek router

Candidate Requirements:

- Will have at least a minimum of 5 years commercial IT 2nd / 3rd line support experience

- Excellent troubleshooting skills in all desktop applications and will be familiar with helpdesk call logging systems

- Will have worked to SLAs and have the ability to resolve 3rd line support issues that have been escalated from the 1st or 2nd line team

- Worked in a helpdesk environment previously supporting servers at 3rd Line level, you should be able to install, configure and then administer key applications such as: Server 2008/2012, 2016, 2019 Hyper-V

- You will be expected to take on project work at mostly small business level (i.e. 5-50 user sites, 1-4 servers) generally in infrastructure upgrade or expansion scenarios, and you should be able to work alone and unsupervised where required

- Certifications and qualifications along the Microsoft path of MCITP, MCSA/MCSE are of advantage but not essential

Clean driving license is essential

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, Mileage Allowance will be provided.
