Run a global technical team, ensuring world-class customer applications support for on-premise and cloud hardware, storage, network equipment and associated software This is a superb senior level broad ranging career opportunity for a DevOps professional who combines team leadership skills with proven experience in building, automating and maintaining production infrastructure within cloud environments. The company is a significant employer and a global leader in the provision of integrated end-to-end brand protection, anti-piracy and anti-fraud software services and it operates from multiple locations throughout the UK, USA and further afield internationally. This role reports to the Global Head of IT and carries responsibility for the leadership of an infrastructure and DevOps team which is spread internationally and also growing.
The focus of the role is to ensure that their global customer's applications run smoothly, that issues are responded to effectively and this includes also the management and monitoring of on-premise and cloud hardware, storage, network equipment and associated software. You will plan and prioritise projects, bring technical leadership, evaluate technology changes and importantly coach, mentor and develop your global team to ensure that it operates as a high performing team within the group. As the team manages and maintains multiple cloud environments and has a demanding programme of work packages, you will need to be a highly organised and effective leader with a strong ability to deliver improvements and work with product owners on these.
Candidates will need to be impressive individuals, graduate qualified with first class academic credentials and have the gravitas necessary for success in a role such as this and will also bring proven experience in infrastructure and DevOps management in an international environment. Your experience must include automating and maintaining production infrastructure within cloud environments and in terms of technical skills, experience of AWS Services, Terraform, and knowledge of Apache Mesos Framework architecture and Mongo Distributed Databases is ideal.
