Our Data & Analytics team needs a Senior IT Service Manager to take responsibility for the secure development and delivery of hundreds of data services in DWP and across government. Our Data & Analytics function has the largest Data Warehouses in Government, and you will be joining our Service Management Team, in your choice of Newcastle, Blackpool or Sheffield You'll define the strategy for service management across platforms, channels, and products of products ensuring availability, performance and process maturity across our Data and Analytics landscape.

You'll ensuring we get value and quality in all we do, and make sure we hit targets, SLAs and OLAs. We're looking for someone who can really own, and manage, stakeholder relationships and make sure that D&A Products and Services are delivering the best value for money while meeting business and user requirements. You'll be the go-to for guidance and for queries about Product/Service design, policy, etc. You own and coordinate analysis and resolution of complex issues, enlisting support and escalating where appropriate. You'll also provide some on-call support, and manage teams that carry out service management duties like reporting, incident management, problem management, service level agreement (SLA) and operational level agreement (OLA) management.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?  You can build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (external and internal) and manage/engage the business expectations through appropriate communications, reporting, assurance and governance. You take accountability of issues that occur and you're proactive in searching for potential problems. You ensure development functions within a project produce the required transition deliverables so that new Services have a fully developed end to end support structure, including Processes, SLAs, KPIs, OLAs. You ensure the correct implementation of standards and procedures. You proactively review information in conjunction with service level agreements to identify availability and capacity issues and specifyany required changes. Details. Wages. Perks.
