You will work on key initiatives to deliver new capabilities that will enable the company to optimise its return on investment internationally across all areas of the businessClient Details Global Engineering, Manufacturing & Retail companyDescriptionThis Global Engineering, Manufacturing & Retail company require a Business Intelligence Development Lead to be the technical expert for their BI stack, responsible for the architecture, design, and work on changes related to Business Intelligence across the business. You will work on key initiatives to deliver new capabilities that will enable the company to optimise its return on investment internationally across all areas of Research, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales.Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Development & Integration, you will also liaise directly with the CEO to enable enhanced insight to influence global strategy. Managing a small but expanding team of BI Analysts / Developers (currently 3, growing to 6), this role forms part of a Global IT & Digital Transformation across ERP and Cloud solutions.The role is based south of Birmingham but there is good flexibility around office vs work from home.Key Responsibilities:Technical Expert for the Business Intelligence StackManage relationships and communication with stakeholders at all levels and across the business.Manage relationship with BI Solution providers (Microsoft, Salesforce, Infor)Ensure that the organisation maximise investment made in existing Business IntelligenceEnsure BI solution Standards are updated and maintainedDefine and Maintain system security and integrityMaster Data Management, Ensure Data Quality, migration and maintenanceConstantly review As Is system landscape, identify gaps and provide desired solution design recommendation when current landscape is not fit for purposeBuild strategic relationships with stakeholders in a business team or area, and foster partnerships across the business landscape. Share information to educate customers about available BI capabilities and services and how they meet business needs. Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding system designs and change requirements to drive the organisation's targeted business outcomesActively research industry trends and apply these to the Architecture. Convey complex messages and issues clearly and credibly. Use a mix of communication methods and strategies to promote dialogue and shared understanding across diverse audiences.
