As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Ekco, one of the primary responsibilities is to monitor and maintain our compute and storage infrastructure to the highest possible standard.This is an ideal role for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who is looking to further develop their career with additional responsibilities such as architecture & design, project management, and stakeholder management.Main Responsibilities:Managing VMware platforms, storage platforms like ZFS, and variety of backup and DR platformsParticipating in complex VMware, storage, network projects, and other infrastructure projects in a senior roleInfrastructure incident management, escalation, and response as well-performing standby servicesMonitoring, capacity planning, and alerting the administration Engage with stakeholders and support teams to provide direction, guidance, and support on acceptable and balanced infrastructure solutions Produce documentation and operational procedures and act as a training guide and share knowledge to other colleagues to improve their knowledge & experience The Candidate:Essential3+ years VMware experience, within a large-scale environment, with a high standard of vSphere knowledge (ideally including 6.7)Backup & Disaster Recovery (ideally Veeam and/or Zerto)Monitoring - e.g. Nagios / Zabbix / Solarwinds / PRTGSAN storage arrays (ideally at least one of Pure, Dell EMC or Dell EqualLogic)High level of written and spoken EnglishHigh standard of documentationBonus points if you have experience with:Linux Server AdministrationWindows Server AdministrationScripting knowledge - e.g. Powershell / Python / BashNetwork and Firewall AdministrationRemote Datacenter ManagementWhy Ekco?
