Trade floor support engineer required to support end-users within a trading environment providing 1st/2nd line IT support for desktop, telephony, network, server, electronic trading and market data technology within the organisation. DescriptionProviding support to trading front and back office staff in a highly pressurised environmentSupport Engineer for all aspects of the companies IT supportSetting up new desktop hardware and softwareInstallation and support of desktop applicationsWork with and compliment the network, telecoms and server support services teamSupport the IT support manager across the range of responsible functionsEnsure all vendors are engaged by the organisation and agree to the plan and timescalesAssist in developing procedures internallyProfileExcellent understanding of Investment Bank related technologiesGood understanding of installation and support of electronic trading and market data applicationsStrong understanding of Microsoft desktop technologies including Windows 10, Office, Skype etcExcellent understanding of desktop hardware in a trade floor environment (DEll, HPE, BT dealer-boards, Konica)Good understanding of PC imaging processes and software installations (SCCM)Good understanding of email and messaging applicationsExcellent methodical troubleshooting skillsability to work to strict deadlines and maintain confidentialityUnderstanding of the ITIL processes / ITIL FoundationAble to work with minimum supervisionShift work, weekend working and bank holiday working where required.Job OfferSalary: £45K - £55KDiscretionary BonusHolidayPensionOther benefits to be discussed during interview
