A successful company working in the area of ultra-low power wireless technology has a very exciting and extremely unique opportunity for a System Architect to join a new team based in Swindon, UK. Swindon has been one of the main Semiconductor hubs in the UK for many years now and is growing! You will be joining the System Architecture Group tasked with growing the company’s portfolio, architecting and specifying new and upcoming System on Chip (SoC) devices and related chips. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the architecture, the quality and the user experience of products and within this role you will directly contribute to the success of the company, helping to specify and design optimal devices for ultra-low power technologies. As the Analog/Mixed Signal System Architect you will have a strong technical background in power management (regulators, DC/DC converters, chargers). Responsibilities include:
Driving system architecture for next generation PMICsProducing written specifications and documentation for new designsParticipate in design reviews System analysis and specifications for Analog and power management IPs and sub systems (e.g. buck, boost converters, chargers, regulators, LDOs, low power)Ownership of Analog subsystem requirementsPower management system partition for optimised low power use casesInnovate and drive leading power management solutions for future productsSupport Analog IP implementation through the design phasesContribute to platform and product architecture designDesired skills includes:
System design for battery operated low power systems (specifying PMICs or complex systems using commercial PMICs)Understanding of battery technologies and chargers  System analysisTechnical leadership experiencePublications in Solid-State Circuit conferences, or Journal of Solid-State CircuitsMasters or PhD degree qualified the Senior/Principal Analog IC Design Engineer will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience in Analog IC Design in CMOS for power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraints. You will be able to work well either independently or as part of a team and will hold excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a passion for developing innovative circuits. A highly motivated individual, you embrace new challenges, and enjoy working across a broad range of areas with a strong technical background and passion for designing innovative Analog circuits.
