Lead Service Engineer

European Base (International Travel)

Are you experienced as a Service Engineer with a background in the Manufacturing, Energy, Maritime or Process sectors and looking to join an industry leading business spanning the UK, Europe and the USA?

This company specialises in the manufacture of equipment for clients across the globe in the Biomass industry. They are currently expanding their Technical Services Department by taking on skilled Field Service Technician who are interested in working closely alongside their international clients.

In this role you will visit customer sites and carry out maintenance services on new and existing installations to ensure optimum installation efficiency from a technical perspective. You will consult with the customer and provide advice regarding the manner of repair or preventative measures that need to be taken whilst instructing local operators.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in a similar position and come from a technical educational background.

This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy, seeks out in depth technical challenges and enjoys finding solutions to complex issues.

The Role:

* Conduct maintenance on both new and existing installations

* Consult with the customer and provide advice regarding the manner of repair or (preventative) maintenance

* You will analyse technical problems using drawings and diagrams, establish a diagnosis and resolve issues

* 80% of the activities will be carried out abroad

The Person:

* Advanced education in General operational technology/mechanical or naval engineering

* Course in control systems technology is advantageous

* Fluency in English is required, German and other European languages are advantageous

* Comfortable with International travel
