International Banking Group - Initial 3 Month Contract

Inside IR35 Day Rate: Flexible DOE (Circa £575pd - £725pd DOE)

Flexible Working: Remote OR London

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group for over eight years, we are assisting in the hire of a contract Linux Administrator to join them on an initial 3-month contract (very likely to extend).

As a Linux specialist, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing Linux / Unix related technologies across the estate, working as a part of a team providing 24/7 support internationally with a drive towards automation. Experience is required across Red Hat, Solaris, RH Satellite, Ansible

Key Skills / Experience Required

*In depth Linux Red Hat and Solaris (incl. systems internals and kernel tuning)

*Red Hat Satellite

*Ansible

*AWX

*REST API integration

*Scripting

*CI/CD pipelines and other automation concepts

*DevOps Mentality

*Git (or other source code control software)

Primary Responsibilities

*Take part in the team rota including on-call and weekend working

*Deliver against team BAU responsibilities

*Identify savings across project & BAU activities to be implemented through automation involving a process flow of Service Now -> AWX -> Ansible / Scripting

*Ensure that all project/investment related workloads are delivered according to plans and defined budgets

*Support customer requirements through ticket-based task management as well as implementation of automation

*Inside IR35: This contract is offered on a PAYE basis (via an umbrella company). The advertised day rate is the total amount we would pay your nominated umbrella. It is inclusive of holiday accrual and employer pension contributions. All employee and employer statutory deductions (all NI, Income Tax, Apprenticeship Levy, etc.) will be deducted from this figure.
