Front Office BI Developer

Financial Services - 6 Month Contract

PAYE Umbrella: £500pd - £550pd +17.3% PAYE Uplift*

Currently Home Working, Later Central London

We are currently assisting this international banking group in the hire of a front office BI Developer to produce reporting from data warehouses that serve the front office. This role requires you to work closely with users of the front office, gathering requirements and designing appropriate solutions.

The client is a global banking group, with their EMEA HQ based in London. We have assisted in the placement of over 100 IT professionals at this client and receive consistent positive feedback from successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

*Developing the SQL Server Data Warehouse

*Producing reporting from the warehouse using Power BI

*Work with the project team to gather requirements and design appropriate solutions

*Loading new data items and enhancing the SQL Server data model

*Implementing required business logic and transformations

*Testing and implementing developed components

*Providing SME guidance to other team members on Power BI best practices

Skills:

*Data Warehousing Methodologies (Kimbal Design Patterns)

*MS SQL Server Development - expert T-SQL skills developing complex stored procedures

*Expert Power BI data modelling and reporting

*Using DAX for complex calculations

*Experience of working with end users within Financial Services Organisation

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35 and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. The day rate on offer is circa £500pd-£550pd + a 17.3% uplift. The uplift covers Employer's NI (13.8%), Pension (3%) and the Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%) so that these are not deducted from your day rate.
