DescriptionKey responsibilities for the Digital Architect:You will have ownership of the Digital architecture and capabilities across websites and eCommerce.Lead on programmes and projects of work, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and ensuring the solution delivers the best option for the customer.Using an excellent understanding of DxP and eCommerce platforms and Architecture, advise on best practice, manage production related scalability and availability issues and identify and manage the resolution of issues and incidents on production systems.Focusing on existing as well as the new strategic capabilities, the Digital Architect will provide technical best practice and architecture along with functional expertise to the business and wider Group Technology (IT) function.Lead, advise and show product owners the full capabilities of DxP and eCommerce functions and capabilities to meet new business needs.Lead on programmes and projects of work, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and ensuring the solution delivers the best option for the customer.Lead the day-to-day relationships with associated vendors, customers and be accountable and responsible for the for solution and service delivery within the business.ProfileThe successful Digital Architect will have:Extensive practical DxP and eCommerce development, demonstrating strategic best practice thinkingIn depth experience working with eCommerce and website platformsSignificant experience in architectureDetailed experience of the design, development and delivery of integrated business solutions, with both DevOps, Waterfall and Agile methodologiesAbility to stand back, look at the bigger picture and understand what needs to be delivered to protect and/or support the business.Customer focused with ability to identify and understand and deliver to the (internal and/or external) customer's needs.Displays a high degree of knowledge relating to eCommerce and Websites.Strong vendor management experience and understanding 3rd party support contracts.,Proven ability to manage ambiguity, conflict, and prioritisation.Responsible for the continuous improvement of the function through ensuring adherence to processes but also through review and improvement.Creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify service gaps and develop and implement solutions meeting the needs of the business.Able to think laterally to consider options which will optimise the service to meet the needs of the business.Confident coaching other team members in areas of expertiseAble to convey complex messages and concepts to a broad audience of non-technical and technical groups.Job OfferOn offer for the chosen Digital Architect is between £67,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.
