Linux Engineer Remote / WfH to £60k

Linux Engineer / DevOps (Linux Cloud AWS Docker) *Remote / WfH*. Do you have a Linux engineering background combined with a good knowledge of AWS? You could be progressing your career at a specialist tech consultancy that specialise in providing solutions for the MedTech space and driving efficiencies within the NHS.

As a Linux Engineer / DevOps you'll join a small team using the latest Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage and monitor the operations of clients' infrastructure and application platforms. You'll maintain shared development and operability tools and frameworks, build self-service automation frameworks for software engineers and provide subject matter expertise on DevOps / Cloud engineering. You'll have direct client interaction and will be able to see the effect of the work you do.

There's a remote interview and a WfH first policy so you won't be expected in the office other than occasional meet-ups with the team (e.g. once every four to six weeks).

Requirements:

You have a strong knowledge of Linux OS, systems administration / engineering skills

You have AWS Web Services and Docker containerisation experience

You have a good knowledge of Jenkins

Ideally you will have experience of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet and IaC experience with Terraform although you can pick these up on the job

You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable taking ownership and interacting with clients
