JOB DESCRIPTION: Project Applications Engineer / Project Sales and Applications Engineer - Industrial Equipment Remote Monitoring Solutions
This exciting new role is an integral function and part of my clients growth plans involving all aspects of project, pre and post sales and application engineering from technical support and hand holding for the customer, through to the installation of a world leading industrial machine monitoring technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Applications Engineer / Project Sales and Applications Engineer - Industrial Equipment Remote Monitoring Solutions
· You will contribute to pre and post sales effort bringing the customer from initial interest to installation.
· This will include technical support for the sales/client relationship through the whole process, this may include involvement from a very early sales process stage including meetings and presentations to educate the client, answering questions and dealing with issues through the process, setting up and running pilot installations which can be up to 3 months long, and subsequent feedback, configuration and fault finding
· Managing what can be a complex installation and any post sales issues.
· You will also be liaising with internal technical and product development teams and be the interface between them and the customer at whom you will be dealing with a wide range of decision makers and influencers including technical, operations and commercial.
· You will also work closely with the Sales Manager who finds, and opens the doors to, potential new customers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Project Applications Engineer / Project Sales and Applications Engineer - Industrial Equipment Remote Monitoring Solutions
· To be considered for this very varied, interesting and rewarding role you will need experience in a similar role which includes project management and applications engineering in the industrial / technical / engineering environment.
· You will need to be technically competent in a relevant area i.e. electrical, electronic and ideally IT systems and industrial machinery.
· You will have classic project management experience and abilities including excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning and time management skills with experience in running pilots and projects in an organised and structured way, ideally with a relevant qualification e.g. Prince 2 or equivalent.
· You will need to be confident, articulate and credible, ideally (but not essentially) with basic financial planning / budgeting and project P & L skills.
· My client may consider exceptional candidates moving up into the role without all of the experience above.

They are now ready for the next stage in their growth by bringing on new customers, these are exciting times for the company in terms of growth potential and expansion.

The company is in the process of approaching new customers both in the UK and overseas, there is huge growth potential for them and their technical team. Also with environmental issues increasingly coming to the fore, technical innovation of the equipment being monitored will result in more opportunities for growth.
