A successful company based in Northampton, UK currently seeks a CAD/EDA Support Engineer to join a diverse team of technical specialists to develop and support deep-submicron IC development flows and tools. In this role you will be supporting methodologies and Analog/Mixed-Signal design flows for IC and System design engineers and you will provide technical support in the development of design flows for multi-site engineering teams using industry standard EDA software such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, Cliosoft. You will assist in tool evaluation and selection, support, and flow development and will take responsibility for continuously improving the quality of flows and  develop and deploy systems and design methodologies. You will also monitor performance optimisation efforts of EDA software and advise on hardware changes to maximise overall productivity.  Industry degree qualified the successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or come from an Analog IC Design background.  Experience is required in multiple CAD flows: backend, frontend, validation, and digital verification methodologies. With hands-on knowledge of industry tools and techniques you will have a deep understanding of Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal IC design flows. Excellent communication skills are required along with the ability to reduce complex information into an easy to understand form for other team members.
