Senior Software Tester - Liverpool - c£50,000 My client, an FTSE 100 retailer is looking for Senior/ Lead Software Developers to join their newly created digital team.This is a rare opportunity to be in a secure start up and help to set up everything right, first time. The right person will possess exceptional analytical skills in test case and test plan design, test automation and bug diagnosis.The Key Responsibilities:Developing new automated tests using the best tools for the job.Working with product owners and developers to define software requirements and ensure the software is developed with testability in mind.Develop a strong understanding of our software products, their purpose, and mechanics to ensure adequate test coverage at all levels.Help improve internal processes and encourage best practices and behaviors.The ideal candidate will have the following experience & skills:3+ years' experience in a similar role.Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and agile project software tools.Experience providing and consuming RESTful web services and JSON.Demonstrated experience testing cloud solutions.Experience with SQL Server and database queries.Knowledge of internet protocols, web proxies, caching, and other Web related fundamentals.Strong analytical and creative thinking skills and adaptable to a fast-paced environmentExperience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test strategies, plans and test cases.Technically competent. We have disparate systems, including legacy systems, so the ability to use a range of tools and applications to get the job done is important.Experience solving OS, database, network configuration, and applications server issues.
