The role

An organisation the size of Clarks needs to be constantly scanning commercial horizons to identify problems and opportunities coming down the line so that we're always prepared. We also need to be 100% engaged in the here-and-now to make sure that we're doing things in the smartest and best possible way. As a Senior Analyst, you'll do both those things. Your role is about using your expert analytical skills to dissect problems in new and innovative ways. To work with others to identify areas for improvement and to deliver expertly planned and budgeted business systems that make us smarter and more commercial while heading off problems before they occur.

You'll make us better at what we do. If that sounds like a broad remit, that's because this role is all about taking a free-thinking, having an agile approach to business systems. When it comes to problem solving and delivering business requirements, innovation is key. But once you've defined the project - that's where the rigorous planning kicks in. Project Definition Documents showing all deliverables. Workstreams organised. Third party support engaged and on-boarded, with SLAs maxed out. And when SAP releases happen, you'll be right there in mission control, supporting every step with your expert input. By doing all that, you won't just be maintaining Business as Normal, you'll be redefining normal as something better - for our organisation, its customers and for you.

A bit about you

Innovating with business applications means being comfortable with what you do without being afraid to step out of your comfort zone. To do that, you'll need plenty of experience in delivering and supporting critical business systems. You're seasoned with SAP, Manhattan or Microsoft application technology and you've used them at a comparable organisation in a retail or FMCG, or with a SAP Consulting Partner. In previous roles like this you've shown yourself to be an expert in design, configuration and development. Someone who can be counted on to lead and deliver small to medium sized projects using water-tight project management methods.

For you, being an innovator, analytical thinker, and problem-solver goes hand-in-hand with being a people person. Because, although you work with business systems, you're addressing the problems and requirements of colleagues throughout the organisation and, ultimately, the needs of our customers. That empathic, human side of the role is something you never lose sight of. It's why you're so great at coordinating projects. You're at ease communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and you're always approachable and able to help when it comes to day-to-day issues. And, because of your amazing mentoring, our teams are able to deal with more and more problems themselves. It's what makes you an asset to our business - and that comes with great rewards here at Clarks.

About Clarks

Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that's remained at the heart of what the brand does now.

In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature - a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.

Clarks is a global business operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 10,000 employees across the world.
