Technical Finance Business Analyst

Financial Services - 6 Month Contract

£550pd +17.3% PAYE Uplift (£645pd total)

The client is a global banking group, with their EMEA HQ based in London. We have assisted in the placement of over 100 IT professionals at this client and receive consistent positive feedback from successful candidates.

We are currently assisting this group in the hire of a Technical Finance Business Analyst to assist the project team with reviewing the existing trade accounting interface and expanding its usage for additional entities within the business group. The duties will consist of reviewing requirements, building required solution, testing the build, and deploying to production.

Key Purpose of role:

*Detailed analysis on Vanilla Interest Rate & CRD products booked within Murex

*Provide guidance to ensure accurate accounting of P&L and balance sheet within Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) and General Ledger systems.

*Analyse trade booking, processing, and outbound trade workflow within Murex

*Ensure accurate representation of data on outbound XML messages

*Advise on best practice approach on accounting methods for trade cashflows for settlement and valuations for P&L and Balance Sheet

*Assist QA member on test strategy, test plans and test scripting

Skills/Requirements:

*Experience with financial investment products including Vanilla IR & CRD

*Accounting background with understanding of technical accounting requirements on IFRS, UK-GAAP, J-GAAP etc.

*Knowledge of trading platforms (Murex is preferred)

*Experience of Subledger and General Ledger applications for financial accounting

*Exceptional communication skills

*Experience with Oracle General Ledger is desired

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35 and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. The day rate on offer is circa 550pd + a 17.3% uplift. The uplift covers Employer's NI (13.8%), Pension (3%) and the Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%) so that these are not deducted from your day rate. The total day fee would would pay your umbrella would be £645.15
