Senior Manual Tester (TV Devices, Jira, GitHub, Test Rails and Charles Proxy)Location: West LondonThe successful individual will have prior experience with TV devices and have used tools/technologies such as Jira, GitHub, Test Rails and Charles Proxy. We are passionate about training, technology and career development.Role DescriptionThis role is an exciting opportunity to join our client within their Apps Team, to work closely with Software Developers and other QA engineers, to deliver the highest quality products in a timely manner. No matter the device, the time or the place, the client makes sure that engaging large, diverse audiences with premium entertainment is possible, with a vision to deliver the world's best entertainment.The role relies on building and maintaining the strongest relationships with other delivery teams across client base and partners. Collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of what they do.Key Responsibilities:Designing, Developing, execute and improve effective manual testing strategies under Agile/Scrum to meet all project constraintsContribute to design and develop reusable and maintainable automated QA regression test scripts.Perform functional testing according to the test plan and maintain test dataAssist in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s).Work with application development teams and business users to develop and validate test requirementsWork with the developers to identify the test scenarios based upon the User Requirement and Technical Requirement documentsDetermine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts. Estimate test efforts.Analyse and communicate test results and track defects.Assist in story definition, assisting Technical Analysts and Developers with Acceptance Criteria.Take a pro-active role with production issues and release management.Contribute to the technical direction of the team.Advising and mentoring QA team members.Acting as one of the lead points of contact for all testing aspects, coordinating releases and Defect resolution.Participating and contributing to resource planning and work allocation, as well as other sprint ceremonies.Essential Skills Required:Familiarity with different types of testing (system integration, regression, functional, etc.) and an ability to plan/execute accordingly.Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirementsPrior experience working within an Agile Scrum Environment.Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills.Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in computer programming.Knowledge of Jira, GitHub, Test Rails and Charles ProxyAbility to detect, report, track and explain defects effectively.Ability to write clear, concise and effective correspondence, test plans, procedures and scenarios in accordance with policies. Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues.Perceived as a superb tester, with hands-on experience of directing the test activities of small teams.Prior experience testing TV applications.If you have the above experience, please submit your CV in the first instance.
