Software Asset Project Manager - Defence Bristol 6 months Contract £550 - £600 per day umbrella/Ltd (Security Clearance Essential) My Client is looking to expand the Project Team to enable the delivery of the next generation of Tactical Communication and Information Systems. BATCIS (Battlefield and Tactical Communications & Information Systems) is responsible for the development, fielding and sustainment of a range of tactical CIS equipment and systems used in the joint Land Environment.Responsibilities:Support in the coordination and management of software and licence procurement acting as the conduit between BATCIS and Defence Digital's Dynamic Software Enterprise Team (DSET).Review EULAs and provide feedback to the Delivery Team (DT), working and liaising with the DSET as required.Liaise with Defence Intellectual Property via the DSETSupport the negotiation of licence terms in accordance with Authority guidance and requirements.Support the Authority in securing appropriate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and freedom of IPR coverage to allow MoD freely share information and software in a multi-vendor environment. This is critical to ensure the whole system is integrated and operates rather than focusing on individual parts. This is a supporting role noting the Authority delegations required for the negotiation of IPEssential:Setting up of governance and reporting regimes.Good knowledge of limitations and opportunities of EULAs.High competence in interpreting data, analysing problems, and formulating solutions to present to senior management.Software licensing compliance audit experience.An understanding of the MOD, its project management methodology and approach.Evidence of successful management and delivery of complex projects within the MOD.Evidence of working collaboratively as a member of a team and building strong relationships with colleagues in other disciplines as well as industry.management and monitoring programme activity with cross-project dependencies; support development of plans; support development and utilise trackers to monitor and report progress.Demonstration of strong MS Office skills and experience of utilising MS Office tools to underpin project planning and control, maintaining coherent governance and reporting.Recent experience of developing stakeholder engagement/communications plans.Effective influenceability to achieve the right outcomes.
