Location: Our office is based in Paddington, London, although most of our staff are temporarily working from home during the pandemic This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced database engineer to use their professional experience and training to help improve lives and strengthen communities through grassroots football. Together for Football. We're the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government's charity.  We champion and support fair access to quality football facilities for everyone, regardless of gender, race, disability or place. The Foundation receives money from the Premier League, The FA and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, through Sport England. This is matched with partnership funding and awarded as grants to create outstanding grassroots facilities that enable better games and attract more players, helping to transform communities. Over the last 20 years we've been planting the seeds to grow grassroots football, and we have worked closely with passionate people in communities up and down the country to deliver over 17,000 sports projects worth over £1.68 billion.
 
We've got big plans to revolutionise England's grassroots facilities and are looking for a Database Engineer to help support our ambitions. We have recently embarked on a critical strategic project to develop and implement a new grant management system and CRM solution based within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics. Our grant management system plays a critical part in helping us support grassroots football and we are now looking for an experienced Database Engineer to be part of this key strategic project. As Database Engineer, you will lead on the system development with our implementation partner and will ensure the new system is fully supportive of any future strategic objectives and innovation strategies. You will develop a relational database model that will ensure we employ the most efficient methods of recording, organising, and implementing data. Once the new system is implemented, you will manage and maintain the system, optimising data integrity and continuously looking at ways to improve performance. What are we looking for? You will have a degree or relevant professional qualification in IT or a similar area, along with: Knowledge of current versions of Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Azure. Experience of configuration, customisation and management of platform solutions, such as MS Dynamics 365. An understanding of current Windows Server Operating systems. Experience in the development of tools to analyse and report on data for business intelligence, (e.g. Crystal Reports, Dashboards, SSRS, SSAS, Excel etc.). Experience of creating scripts, stored procedures & DTS. What can we offer you?
