Technical Project ManagerLondon12 month contractThe role will be responsible delivering the migration programme from PCF to internal or Google Kubernetes for all the applications within the MSS IT area.Role Duties:Impactful project management for successful delivery Migration to Kubernetes. Responsibilities and priorities will reflect the needs of specific workstreams and will evolve over time, however the following are some of the specific responsibilities expected of this role:The role will:Display intellectual leadership and project management acumen in leading workstreams that will implement a component of initiativesSuccessfully guide and support key stakeholders, projects and activities as part of the overall book of workLead the project management and delivery of key changes in a cross-asset capacity and across a number functions including Front Office IT, Middle Office IT, and FinanceLiaise with relevant business areas, IT teams and other functions to ensure that delivery requirement and scope is captured and understood properly.Identify, prioritise, escalate and proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependenciesDevelop, mobilise and track stakeholder ownership and delivery of workstream plansContribute to the execution of FMO IT strategy, especially Architecture, Devops, workforce transformation and Location Strategy. Promote and lead Agile working practices throughout the team.Develop employee knowledge and engineering skills in specific areas of expertise, in response to FMO IT and business strategy.Candidate Specifications:Senior experienced project manager in technology environment preferably in Finance in an investment banking departmentProject management experience in an international environment with teams located in multiple locations,Knowledge of Cloud, software architecture and particularly of micro-services architecture,Excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills.Possesses expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and toolsPossesses high level understanding in the areas API, databases, and system designProvides process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standardsResolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competenciesIs responsible for complex technical management coordination with multiple vendors and staffStrong reasoning and analytical skills with a high attention to detailHighly organised mindset with the ability to work under pressure and operate in a global multi-functional, matrix environment with high degree of cultural & employee diversityProficiency in resource planning and budget control, effective time management and prioritisation skillsWell organised and rigorous, team player and highly motivatedFlexible and able to easily adapt to changeFinance / Middle Office domain knowledge and experience in investment banking sector an advantage.If you feel you would be suitable, please send in your CV
