The Organisation

NHSX is leading the largest digital health and social care transformation programme in the world. With investment of more than £1 billion pounds a year nationally and a significant additional spend locally, NHSX has been created to give staff and citizens the technology they need.

These are to:

  • give people the tools to access information and services directly, so they can best take charge of their own health and care;
  • ensure information about people's health and care can be safely accessed, wherever it is needed;
  • aid the improvement of safety across health and care systems;
  • improve health and care productivity with digital technology.

The Role

The Project Coordinator will act as one of the key points of contact for all programmes and projects in NHSX as well as external stakeholders. They will work on daily assurance activities, the provision of advice and guidance to programmes and projects and reporting within the Delivery Hub, the strategic office responsible for the oversight of all NHSX's work and the Technology Transformation Portfolio. Additionally they will support and take ownership of a vast array of critical pieces of work. This role will provide a unique opportunity to understand programmes and projects, assurance and oversight at various levels, ranging from small projects to large national programmes. They will gain significant experience in the full lifecycle of programmes and projects, governance at an organisational level, reporting and an understanding of strategic oversight.

The Project Coordinator will work as part of a dynamic team to:

  • Shape the delivery planning of the digital transformation of health and care
  • Improve the planning and assurance processes throughout the lifecycle of programmes and projects
  • Support the delivery planning of the portfolio of programmes and projects in NHSX

  • Oversee the professional standards for Project, Programme and Portfolio Management delivery

The Location

This post will be located in either London or Leeds with occasional national travel. Initially the role will be virtual, moving to hybrid based working as we return to the office. Hybrid working will be a mixture of working in an office and working remotely, exact arrangements will be agreed with your line manager and based on business need and priorities.

Please note however that because this is a training programme - there is a need for regular office based working
