A market leading FinTech provider require a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their expanding Data function.Client DetailsA market leading FinTech provider based in Cheltenham.DescriptionSupport SQL Server database infrastructureWork as part of Agile development teams to develop productsWork with our BI team to maintain and develop our management information infrastructureEnsure the availability and security of the SQL Server estate, including the investigation and
resolution of any issues that may ariseProvide database support for development project teamsSupport and develop new and existing management information processesDisaster recovery design and supportProfileStrong T-SQL skillsStrong database administration skills, including some or all of: Installation, maintenance, configuration and monitoringHigh availability e.g., clustering, availability groups, database mirroringBackup/RestoreIndexing and performance tuningGood understanding of data security and encryptionDatabase and data warehouse design experienceExperience in SQL Server 2016 and aboveAbility to diagnose and solve problems.Ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff.Desirable:Strong SSIS development skillsGood automation skillsKnowledge of the following tools and technologies: Source control e.g. TFS, GitHubAzure Dev Ops, JiraPowerShellUnderstanding of GDPRExperience of database deployment and provisioning methodologiesSSRS administrationDesire to learn and develop new skillsCloud technology exposure, preferably AWSExperience of working within an Agile development environmentJob OfferSenior DBA working with a Market leading FinTech provider who are growing their Data Function.- Innovative, inclusive and focused environment- Flexible working- Perkbox- Competitive holiday allowance- £55,000
