Java Developer Cambridge to £70k

Java Developer (Microservices Kafka CI/CD). Are you an experienced Java Developer looking for an opportunity to work on complex software challenges within a tech for good, green energy company? You could be working within a fast paced, tech driven environment where you'll be given the support and tools you need to develop your skills and reach your full potential.

As a Java Developer you'll be designing and developing new features for the company's web based energy trading platform utilising Java whilst gaining exposure to a range of other technologies including: React, TypeScript, Python, Kafka, SQL, AWS and Kubernetes. The company has built a B2B SaaS platform that handles real-time streaming data from a vast number of diverse data sources to provide clear insight through Machine Learning for renewable energy companies.

Based in Cambridge, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team where you can enjoy a wide range of perks including: healthcare, pension, flexible working, volunteering opportunities, company socials and parties (currently virtual or socially distanced!). There will be a lot of flexibility around work from home, however you will need to be able to attend the Cambridge office a few times a month.

Requirements:

Strong Java skills and experience developing high performance multi-threaded software

Previous experience with CI/CD

Good knowledge of Kafka

Previous experience working with distributed event based systems

Experience working within a DevOps team environment

Knowledge of engineering best practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
