Functional Safety Engineer (C&I)

Functional Safety Engineer role on offer for a growing, European leader that has heavily invested into all areas of the business where you will assume a senior position making key decisions.

Do you have a background in Functional Safety Engineering? Have you designed and developed process control systems and safety systems?

This multinational company provide vital process engineering services for airports and military bases across the UK and the rest of the world. Having gone through a major modernisation programme over the last few years they are now looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to lead their Control and Instrumentation activities.

In this role you will be instrumental in delivering functional safety across maintenance, operations and technical asset teams to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment. This will include projects on the design and development of safety systems, governing standards and providing support for the safety lifecycle. The current setup is a combination of home/office based work in Central London but with travel to their sites across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have come from Functional Safety background with previous experience of designing and developing Process Control Systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and Functional Safety Systems (ESD, SIS F&G) within a COMAH site. You'll hold a FS Eng or equivalent qualification and will be a confident communicator that is flexible to work at sites.

*Delivering Functional Safety across all sites (C&I)

*Responsible for all C&I, Process Control based work

*Deign, development, integration and ongoing maintenance of systems

*Supporting maintenance, operations and technical asset teams

*Office in London / Working from home with travel

The Person:

*Functional Safety Engineering background

*Experience of designing and developing Process Control and Functional Safety systems

*Experience of Controls and Instrumentation

*FS Eng or equivalent qualifications

*Flexible to travel to sites / office in Central London
