My client is a lead payment solutions provider, striving for any time, anywhere payment solutions. With their pragmatic, driven team they are building the company's merchant-first payment ecosystem. They work with big name clients such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express. The organisation is looking to add a senior software engineer with a 'outcome over output' mentality to add to their results-driven, curious team.You will be responsible for the design and development of backend, service, and portal systems that reside on our payment processing platforms. As part of a an exciting development centre, you will engage with a variety of languages, frameworks, libraries, and services, while utilising state-of-the-art software techniques, BDD, and CI/CD.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand merchant and partner needs and provide innovative, valuable solutions to customersImprove the software development process, methodologies, and toolsCollaborate with team members to create technically accurate softwareAssist with software deployment activities to internal test environments and our production data centre - the team is responsible for Requirements Analysis through to Release.Be proactive, self-motivated, attentive to detail, with the ability to work well under pressure.Be a team player and role model, build work relationships and demonstrating flexibility. Skills and requirements6-8 years in a Software Engineering position.BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.An understanding of Linux or Windows development, including database design and development, and web client programming skills, such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.Experience in server-side product development.Expertise in at least one OO language (e.g. Java, C#, Ruby, Go).HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML / XSLT, SQL,Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.Technical leadership and the ability to coachExcels at grasping existing code and identifying opportunities to improve and to integrate with existing code.Effective and comfortable working with high-level management.Strong communication skills.A team playerSalary and benefitsUp to 80k salaryUnlimited holidaysPrivate Medical Insurance for the employeeLife AssuranceIncome ProtectionWork From Home allowanceOne time Home Office setup allowancePension ContributionsApply now!
