International Banking Group - Initial 3 Month Contract

PAYE Umbrella: £500pd + 17.3% PAYE Uplift*

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group for over eight years, we are assisting in the hire of a contract Linux Administrator to join them on an initial 3-month contract (very likely to extend).

As a Linux specialist, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and enhancing Linux / Unix related technologies across the estate, working as a part of a team providing 24/7 support internationally with a drive towards automation.

Primary Responsibilities

*Take part in the team rota including on-call and weekend working

*Deliver against team BAU responsibilities

*Identify savings across project & BAU activities to be implemented through automation involving a process flow of Service Now -> AWX -> Ansible / scripting

*Ensure that all project/investment related workloads are delivered according to plans and defined budgets

*Support customer requirements through ticket-based task management as well as implementation of automation

Key Skills / Experience Required

*In depth Linux Red Hat and Solaris (incl. systems internals and kernel tuning)

*Red Hat Satellite

*Ansible

*AWX

*REST API integration

*Scripting

*CI/CD pipelines and other automation concepts

*DevOps Mentality

*Git (or other source code control software)

Highly Desirable: Service Now Automation / Integration; GitHub, Subversion, TeamCity; CyberArk; Splunk and QRadar, Qualys.

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35 and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. The day rate on offer is £500 + a 17.3% uplift. The uplift covers Employer's NI (13.8%), Pension (3%) and the Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%) so that these are not deducted from your day rate. With the uplift, the total paid to your umbrella per day is £586.50.
