Make-A-Wish is looking for an enthusiastic Technology Systems Administrator (TSA) who will be able to support our newly appointed Technology Manager in the delivery of the organisation's business objectives through technology plans, solutions and services.

Make-A-Wish is a growing organisation. In the next few months, we will be piloting exciting projects that will need solid technology support, both in planning and in operational delivery. We also want to ensure that our people have the best systems and support in order to do their job and that we have a way forward set out for all our technology needs.

Some of the TSA's responsibilities will be to:

Provide expertise to all colleagues and volunteers on all technology-related subjects to allow them to carry out their roles as efficiently as possible by acting as their first line of support.

Support the Technology Manager in reporting and metrics to make improvements to processes and procedures to deliver an optimal digital experience for volunteers.

Improve and update software and systems particularly relating to Office 365 environment and Salesforce.

Be responsible for hardware maintenance, repair and provisioning.

Right now, 63,000 children in the UK are eligible for a wish because they have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, a diagnosis that changes their lives and the lives of their families forever.

The power of a Wish revives a childhood stolen by critical illness. It brings light and joy to children and their loved ones, with a profound and lasting impact on all their lives.

However, granting wishes takes an army of volunteers, community support, skills and donations to help children feel like children again. So, we're looking for people like you to help.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate commitment to the Make-A-Wish cause and to our values: Be Magical, Be Inclusive and Be Inspiring. You will enjoy working as part of a team as well as being able to work independently.

You should have a Salesforce understanding which is a key aspect of the role as well as a strong knowledge of emerging technology and the mature systems (Office 365 / Azure / Azure Active Directory / Windows Server 2012 onwards).

We are a flexible organisation that promotes agile working and had the technology in place for employees to work from home before the pandemic. We also work out of accessible, bright, airy offices directly opposite Reading train and bus stations.

The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS check will be requested where required. Employment is subject to positive references and proof of the right to work in the UK.

Make-A-Wish is also committed to attracting and recruiting diverse people as it is vital that we strive towards ensuring that our trustees, employees, ambassadors and volunteers reflect the communities we seek to serve.
