Drive major digital and organisational changes that touch the lives of millions.

An arm of the Home Office, Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) is a customer-focused organisation providing passports for British citizens and passport verification. Through the General Register Office (GRO), we also oversee civil registration in England and Wales - from births and deaths, to civil partnerships, marriages and adoptions. Working in partnership with government departments and local authorities, we interact with 7 million customers around the world every year. We are always exploring ways to innovate and create a positive impact on society.

This exciting role offers you a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of major digital and organisational change. You will be a Senior Business Analyst in Strategy, Projects and Digital Services (SPDS) - a fast paced and dynamic directorate at the heart of HMPO. As well as overseeing HMPO's digital services, SPDS defines the organisation's strategy, business design and delivery plans, and runs a variety of significant change projects to implement them.

Using agile methodologies, you will investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts. You will weigh everything against feasibility, impacts, costs, benefits and strategic alignment. We expect you to gather data and customer objectives, carry out business modelling, and present your findings as clear and compelling stories and process maps. Along the way, you will build great relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders.

To be equal to the challenge, you will need a proven background in agile and business analysis methodologies, techniques and artefacts. Your established skills range from User Story Development to process mapping, and from feasibility study and options analysis, to business case development and knowledge management. Excellent influencing and collaboration skills are vital.

In addition to the rewarding nature of the role itself, you can also look forward to excellent benefits including a Civil Service pension. Our flexible working policy ensures a healthy work-life balance, and the learning and development opportunities we offer will help you flourish. We value diversity and provide an open, inclusive and supportive environment to help you do your best work.
