Senior Software EngineerCambridge 6-9 month contract Going Via PAYEStart ASAP Come and join an incredibly talented multi-disciplinary team of laser physicists, optical physicists, electronics engineers, and computer scientists working together in a tight-knit team to build this storage technology of the future.

You would be responsible for working on the software for the optical imaging systems.

Skillset

Degree level: PhD in Computer Science or related field.Hard-Skill set:

* C#

* Multi-threaded code experience

* Python / numpy

Can work independently with minimal supervision towards defined tasks within a team environment.

Able to thrive in a highly agile environment where priorities and tasks change frequently.

We are looking for someone with excellent software design and implementation skills. The ideal person is a seasoned developer, able to work productively modifying an existing codebase, managing exotic hardware devices, occasionally in a multi-threaded context.

This project spans multiple disciplines, so the ability to communicate well with other team members and support overall team goals is crucial.
