About the role
We are looking for a Technology Services and Architecture Support Manager. This role has two key functions: to support the Technology Services Team with its key reporting deliverables, and to coordinate the IT architecture community across DVSA.
You will support the Technology Services team with reporting and governance requirements, including working with the management team to coordinate responses. You will create and run quarterly live events for the team, and work across the team on ad-hoc tasks and reporting requests.
You will support DVSA's IT architecture community by facilitating the architecture governance boards, and with day-to-day management of the architecture services contract.
You will manage Teams sites and architecture information repositories, acting as a point of contact for both the Technology Services Team and the IT architecture community.
Experience in IT architecture and contract management is not essential.
Does this sound like you?
You have outstanding organisational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to apply these skills to coordinate the successful delivery of the team's key deliverables and effective architecture governance processes.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you are a people person and can build positive and professional working relationships at all levels of the organisation, and with suppliers.
You have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of programmes and are able to quickly learn and champion new tools and methodologies.
You possess strong written communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex and technical concepts into plain English, to produce materials such as presentations and architecture services statements of work.
DVSA helps everyone stay safe on Britain's roads.
We're an innovative organisation that values professional expertise. We invest in our people and champion inclusive and diverse teams.
If you are looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced government agency, we want to hear from you.
