Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Duration: Initial 3 months with possible extensions

Rate: Negotiable

Start date: ImmediateI'm currently working with a University who require an interim Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You will help deliver plans to improve the stability, security and scalability of our systems. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting our infrastructure including cloud services, on-premises servers & virtualisation platforms, network infrastructure, VOIP technology, Office 365 and more.This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a leading University. The essential skills / day to day duties for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer position include:Experience of Linux (e.g Ubuntu, Centos, RHEL) and Linux based applications.Experience of DevOps practices including some automation, CI & CD.Experience of AWS, importantly EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, Route 53, IAM, CloudwatchExperience managing and automating code deployments and CI/CD pipelines - using Jenkins and Terraform. Experience of migrating on premise infrastructure to Cloud Services.Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V & VMWare.Experience managing and maintaining backup services; VeeamExperience of Infrastructure monitoring solutions.
