Security Engineer6 Month Contract
Manchester
£600 per day
Inside IR35
One of my clients, a Global Asset Management company, is looking for a Security Engineer.
Youll be joining the Security team and support the Infrastructure teams by providing security guidance and review of suggested solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Work with the project teams and stakeholders to maintain compliance with corporate security policies in the implementation process and new solution designs
* Report security problems and provide solutions for cloud, data centre and end users
* Provide proposals to adopt Cloud delivered SaaS applications securely
* Support projects through residual security risks through risk treatment processes
* Support other teams in security risk aand mitigrating controls in final solution documentation
* Review responses from third parties and support vendor management
* Work to improve security controls and contribute to sharing knowledge in an open culture
Key Skills:
* Security technologies & strategies - secure network design, desktop and server hardening, compliance auditing, remote computing, software development lifecycles, logging & monitoring, assess controls, penetration testing, secure web services
* Information standards and frameworks - ISO27001 / NIST or CIS and their application
* Security with Windows OS, Azure and Cloud applications and databases
* Securely implementing a secure application and understand the risk of those controls or processes
* Technical knowledge of on-boarding and integrating solutions with modern cloud authentication protocols and API channels
* Webs apps, services and REST-based Service Architecture and network/web protocols
* Knowledge/use of - LogRhythm, McAfee, Veracode, Symantec, Quest Reporter, TrendMicro, Qualus would be plus!
* Security qualifications - CIA / CISSP would be a plus!
This is an initial 6 month contract inside IR35 with 2/3 days in the office in Manchester, £600 per day.
