Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, + plus benefits
We are looking to appoint a Data Quality Manager with knowledge and experience of analysing and manipulating data to take on a newly created position in our unique and growing business.
Purpose of the role:
To monitor compliance with the Bank’s Data Governance policies and standards and prepare materials to support the escalation and resolution of any data quality issues identified through monitoring. To be part of a team responsible for implementing a Data Quality Management (DQM) service for the bank. Be responsible for ensuring the services associated with Data Quality analytics and reporting, Data Quality Issue Management and root cause analysis are operationally effective in accordance with the standards defined within the framework Ensure effective data quality measurement, monitoring and remediation to ultimately improve the quality of data processed by the bank
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance of Data Quality Rules and Preventative / Detective Controls;
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Data Quality KPI’s are monitored, supported and maintained
Responsible for managing and actioning remediation of KPI issues as they arise
Liaising with data Governance, business areas and senior business data owners to ensure effective prioritisation and resolution of Data Quality issues via the DQ Issue Management process
Responsible for ensuring effective stakeholder communication with regard to Data Quality issues R
Responsible for ensuring that the root cause of reported data issues is understood with underlying problems and associated symptoms resolved Ensure adherence to documented data quality standards and measures
Requirements:
Essential
Experience or knowledge of Data Quality Management Frameworks and Data Quality standards
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentational
Numerate, articulate with an ability to communicate complex data issues simply
Excellent SQL & Data Literacy skills with the ability to work with less data literate customers to achieve required outcomes
Desirable
Knowledge of Data Quality Management Frameworks and Data Quality standards, ideally within a regulated environment
Experience or understanding of developing data profiling routines and data quality scorecards
Experience of working in a similar role within financial services
Experience or awareness of data quality and profiling tools such as Aperture
Experience of supervising or leading small teams or projectsrn
