Site Reliability Engineer / SRE London to £100k

Site Reliability Engineer / SRE (Go AWS Linux CI/CD) *Remote Interview WFH*. Do you have a genuine passion for technology and how it can change the world in which we live; want to work on complex and challenging systems whilst continually learning and progressing your career?

The core product is a white labelled distributed, real-time engine integrated to clients to enable things such as Live Chat, real-time scoring, real-time location tracking, live documentation sharing, MMO games and eLearning to name but a few - they deliver billions of real-time messages to more than 50 million people across web, mobile and IoT platforms .

As a Site Reliability Engineer / SRE you will take ownership of all aspects of the company's infrastructure services including compute capacity, networking and all ancillary services to support the complete software development lifecycle including CI/CD.

This role encompasses ownership of the company's infrastructure operations that are based on internally developed software for deployment, orchestration, instance management and health monitoring. These large, distributed systems are mainly written in Golang deployed to AWS.

The company prides itself on technical innovation; you'll constantly seek improvements, design the architecture and provide technical guidance to a small team which you'll have the opportunity to grow.

You'll be based in North London, in a start-up environment with casual dress code; there is also the ability to work from home if desired and collaborate via Slack (regular visits to the office will be required so must be UK based); please note that during social distancing the company is able to offer a remote interview and on boarding process as well as 100% WFH.

Requirements:

You're able to code with one of the following: Go, Node.js, Ruby

You have strong knowledge of AWS

You have strong Linux OS knowledge

You have a thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle

You have a good knowledge of CI/CD and keen to automate wherever possible

You have a good knowledge of networking technologies

You have a genuine enthusiasm for technology, you'll likely be a contributor to the open source community, write blogs, attend meet-ups / tech conferences

You're familiar with Infrastructure as Code / IaC theory

You have leadership / mentoring skills, keen to recruit and grow a team

You have excellent communication skills, advocate of Pair Programming
