We have an opportunity for an IT & Digital Transformation Analyst to join our Technical Solutions team, playing a pivotal role in the development of accessible online services for the Council. If you have experience of website development and use of digital platforms in a public sector or commercial environment, we would like to hear from you.

This is a full-time (37 hours per week) post to assist in our current digital transformation work, implementing new online processes and website improvements which integrate with the Council's management systems.

You should be highly motivated with a "can do" attitude, able to work within a team and committed to ensuring our services are customer focused. You should be organised and able to prioritise work effectively in accordance with the Council's IT & Digital Transformation Strategy. You will have good communication skills and be able to convey technical knowledge at the right level for the intended audience. In addition, you will have experience of work within successful projects to agreed objectives and deadlines.

You will be comfortable assisting our services to help maximise benefits from the authority's investments in digital platforms, technologies, and systems to help modernise and improve internal processes.

Applicants will be expected to have had some experience of developing customer-facing forms and/or web content, have strong communication skills, and be able to present information in a clear and accessible way, using context-appropriate language.

Some technical/operational knowledge of core web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, SQL) is desirable, and experience of process analysis and process improvement would also be advantageous.

The role will also involve regular support and mentoring of junior colleagues so that we develop skills across the Service and provide a high-quality IT Service Desk to all Council IT users.

Candidates must be qualified to Degree level in a Computing-related subject or be able to demonstrate previous experience commensurate with the role you are applying for. Recognised web development or other IT industry accreditations are also desirable for the role.

Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential and the ability to speak and write through the medium of Welsh would be desirable in assisting our provision of a bilingual service to clients.
