Working within the Group Finance systems team, the Power BI Developer/Consultant will be required to lead a pilot project with the aim of introducing Power BI to the business via the development and delivery of a series of Power BI dashboards for use by Group finance and commercial functions. The role will require close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the Group.Client DetailsMy London based client is a leading electronics company that provides data solutions.DescriptionMy Real Estate and Property client is looking for a Power BI Developer/Consultant to engage in the following:Establish data sources and determine the optimum data extraction process from the source systemsRequirements Gathering: Working with stakeholders to scope and document requirementsDevelopment and Testing: Design, develop, test, and publish dashboards/reports, primarily for the finance and commercial user communities. These will initially cover General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Budgeting and Forecasting and Sales. The main data source will initially be the company's ERP system, YardiEstablish, document and maintain a robust user security frameworkProvide support for end users as required, along with training for colleaguesData modelling capabilities, designing effective BI data models, managing database schemas and row level securityPower BI Premium workspace/features experience & in depth understanding of DAX and M-QueryResponsible for all Power BI platform administration activities, e.g. regular house-keeping, workspace management, Data Gateway, Capacity management, availability managementDocument detailed data dictionary and data mapping tables along with Metadata model and Report Catalogue from a financial standpointProfileTo be considered for the Power BI Developer/Consultant role at my electronics client's site in London, the candidate must present evidence of the following:Substantial proven experience in implementing Power BI from scratch, developing a scalable framework for delivery of accurate, useful and user-friendly reporting solutionsExperience in developing financial dashboards, underpinned by sound knowledge of the key finance data tablesStrong knowledge of T-SQLExperience of supporting or working with Yardi Voyager or similar property management systems (ERP systems)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to best practiceStrong analytical and problem solving skillsA positive and motivated self-starter, capable of using own initiative and of seeking clarification / direction as appropriateAbility to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical users across the businessJob OfferOpportunity to lead a Power BI projectReceive up £450 per day OUTSIDE IR35Opportunity to work partly remotely (travel to offices in London will required minimum 3 days per week)
